One blogpost for Burma
International bloggers are preparing an action to support the peaceful revolution in Burma. We want to set a sign for freedom and show our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. These Bloggers are planning to refrain from posting to their blogs on October 4 and just put up one Banner then, underlined with the words „Free Burma!“.
If you want to join these action go to www.free-burma.org.
You’ll find also some information by bloggingtom, basicthinking and in the official wiki.

A few blog posts, or other actions well-meant, aren’t going to change a lot in that country. There are few ways, that most liberals despise, and all of them involve strong kicks of the military sort into the behind of the Burmese junta.
I’m sorry to bust your bubble, but you would be better off, if not for your conscience, to concentrate your efforts to make sure the US Airforce turns their funky feng-shui designed capital with a name I can’t pronounce, into a heap of rubble, using a few cruise missiles to make sure their air force stays grounded as well. Once the snake is completely decapitated, the problem is solved.
Since the Burmese military also shot a Japanese journalist in broad daylight, chances run high the Nip navy might want to have a part in the fireworks as well.
This time, the argument is not political, or a dissident one, but how much firepower you can pour down on them in one go.
However, as long as the Americans aren’t going to try to hurt the Chinese, the Burmese junta is safe. Or mostly so.
